Calgary Town Open (CTO)

Sept 24-27 2026

All participants MUST complete this form before participating in any event activities, such as but not limited to classes, practices, performances, charity drives, and social dances, during the event known as  Calgary Town Open, hereinafter referred to as CTO, and taking place on the above-noted dates. Guardians and parents agree by completing the Youth Consent form.

Agreement

I, the undersigned on page two, acknowledge and understand the risks of physical injury inherent to dance, and I fully assume those risks. I recognize that, despite the CTO taking precautions, accidents and injuries may occur and that the CTO is not liable.  

Release from Responsibility

I agree to release the CTO, its owner, and organizers from responsibility, including all teachers, dancers, staff members, and facilities used, from any cause of action, claims, or demands now and in the future.  I will not hold the CTO or its organizers liable for personal items lost, stolen, damaged, or any personal injuries, including but not limited to scrapes, bruises, cuts, sprains, fractures, concussion, or death. 

Picture and Video

I understand that I may be photographed or video recorded, even unintentionally, during the event, which may be used on social media or for promotions.  I may request a “no-pictures-please” sticker to wear from the Registration Desk and request any person capturing images of me to stop, unless it’s unintentional, where I may appear in the background or passing between the camera and object being captured. In turn, I must respect any request not to directly capture a person while capturing an image, still or video.
